Location: Centennial, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate care across multiple ICU units including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Respond to codes and rapid responses throughout the hospital as the designated charge nurse
Float within a 60-mile zone to support sister facilities and maintain safe staffing ratios
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and manage respiratory equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Mentor staff and ensure high-quality patient outcomes across varying acuity levels

Qualifications

Active Colorado or compact RN license
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with prior charge nurse experience
First-time travelers need 3+ years of ICU experience and Epic familiarity
Comfortable floating between ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and drip titration skills
Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
Experience with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen management
Flexibility to adapt to different facilities and patient populations within the zone
Epic charting experience preferred
