Registered Nurse - ER/MedSurg Swing
Location: Breckenridge, Minnesota
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, D/N rotate, weekends every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency and med-surg care to patients in a supportive rural setting
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver timely interventions and treatments
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret telemetry strips, and respond quickly to changes
- Float between ER and med-surg/swing bed units to support seamless patient care across the facility
- Educate patients and families while ensuring safety and comfort throughout their stay
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience plus previous med-surg experience
- Comfortable working in a small, close-knit facility with a trauma level IV designation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation skills
- Ability to manage vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment
- Experience with trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients
- Flexible and adaptable when floating between ER and med-surg units
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a rural healthcare setting
