Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, D/N rotate, weekends and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency and swing-bed care to patients in a Trauma Level IV facility
Collaborate with physicians and the care team to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret strips with confidence using Mindray telemetry
Float between ER and MedSurg swing units to support seamless patient care across the department
Respond swiftly to critical situations while maintaining a calm, reassuring presence for patients and families
Document accurately and communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
Minimum 2 years of ER experience plus previous MedSurg experience
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
PALS preferred
Comfortable working in a small, rural facility with a daily average of 10 ER visits

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and strip interpretation skills
Ability to manage vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen independently
Experience floating between ER and MedSurg swing units
Excellent communication and teamwork in a close-knit setting
Flexibility to adapt to rotating day/night schedules and weekend requirements
