Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, leadership makes schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
Manage high-acuity patients including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, and stroke cases
Administer common ER drips and monitor critical patients
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff for seamless patient care
Float to OBS unit and Freestanding Creighton ER weekly to support team needs
Interpret cardiac strips and ensure accurate patient monitoring

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
NRP certification preferred
Recent Level I or Level II trauma experience required
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Strong trauma and emergency nursing skills
Ability to manage 1:4 patient ratios in main zones
Comfortable working in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
Skilled in reading and interpreting cardiac strips
Flexible with floating to multiple ER locations
