Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria in the Emergency Department
• Function within the Health System's mission, vision, and values while delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
• Make critical judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate with the healthcare team in a fast-paced ED environment
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries
• Float to all units within your skill level to support patient care across the hospital

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Emergency Department experience (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (required)
• Active Ohio or Compact RN license (required)
• Must float to all units within skill level
• Current skills checklist pertinent to the Emergency Room within 1 year
• Work history and ability to adapt quickly to new environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department (ED) nursing expertise
• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Active Ohio or Compact RN license
• Flexibility to float across units within skill level
• Effective communication, teamwork, and delegation
