Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dental hygienist with patient preparation, charting, and clinical support
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, ensuring a safe and clean environment
• Take and document patient vital signs and health histories
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Manage inventory and maintain organized operatory rooms
• Support front desk with scheduling, patient flow, and paperwork as needed

Qualifications

• Maryland dental assisting certification/licensure where required
• Certification as a Dental Hygienist Assistant or equivalent experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• A genuine passion for patient care and safety
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and instruments
• Familiarity with dental charting software
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Strong attention to sterilization and infection control protocols
• Ability to multitask and support a fast-paced clinical team
