Roles & Responsibilities

• Take and monitor vital signs (blood pressure and pulse oximetry) to ensure patient safety throughout oral surgery procedures
• Assist with nitrous oxide and IV sedation administration, supporting the dental team during surgical treatments
• Capture panoramic X-rays for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Support wisdom tooth surgery by preparing the operatory, sterilizing instruments, and assisting the oral surgeon
• Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients and their families for a smooth recovery

Qualifications

• Experience with nitrous oxide and IV sedation, or a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with panoramic X-ray equipment and taking full-mouth images
• Ability to assist in wisdom tooth extraction procedures with confidence
• Strong communication skills for patient education and post-op instructions
• Relevant dental assistant certification (CDA or similar) is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of vital sign assessment, including blood pressure and pulse oximetry
• Skill in supporting nitrous oxide and IV sedation during oral surgery
• Proficiency with panoramic X-ray capture and imaging
• Understanding of wisdom tooth surgery instruments and sterile techniques
• Strong patient education skills for post-operative instructions
• Attention to detail and team-oriented mindset in a clinical setting
