Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care including cleanings, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and personalized care plans to help them maintain healthy smiles
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring quality images and patient comfort throughout the process
• Partner with the dentist to deliver comprehensive treatment and document patient care accurately
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
• Identify and report any signs of oral disease or abnormalities to the dentist for further evaluation

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to patient care
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Familiarity with dental radiography (X-ray) techniques and safety protocols
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization standards
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate patient approach
• Time management and organizational skills to maintain a smooth workflow
