Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs, and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Support residents with meals and hydration, ensuring proper nutrition and comfort
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families

Qualifications

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification (or obtainable)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stand, lift, and assist with resident transfers
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
• Must pass background check and health screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident rights and HIPAA privacy rules
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Basic clinical skills including vital signs and infection control
• Effective communication with team members and residents
• Problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
