Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages
• Triage patients quickly and accurately based on acuity
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver optimal outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
• Remain calm and focused during critical situations and emergencies

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Louisiana (or compact state)
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Previous emergency department or critical care experience preferred
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing procedures and protocols
• Patient triage and acuity assessment
• Advanced cardiac life support techniques
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency
