Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, triage and stabilize patients presenting to the Emergency Department with urgency and compassion
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care, including medication administration and critical interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists and ancillary staff to coordinate rapid, effective care
• Document patient assessments, treatments and outcomes clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up care with empathy and clarity
• Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and supplies; participate in code response as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible to practice in Hawaii
• Clinical experience in Emergency Department/ER settings (ED/ER)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and excellent teamwork skills
• Current immunizations and any facility-required clearances

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of ED triage, rapid assessment and stabilization techniques
• Proficient in IV therapy, medication administration and emergency interventions
• Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and clinical charting
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills for patients and families
• Ability to prioritize multiple critical tasks while maintaining patient safety
