Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer hemodialysis treatments to patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions
• Assess patient health status and monitor vital signs during dialysis sessions
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, treatment options, and self-care
• Operate and maintain dialysis equipment, ensuring safety and infection control standards
• Document patient responses and adjust treatments as needed to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience
• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Fresenius dialysis machines required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• In-depth knowledge of acute and chronic dialysis procedures
• Skilled in operating dialysis equipment and electronic medical records
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment
