Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert one-on-one care to complex cardiac surgery patients
- Monitor and titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
- Support patients on advanced therapies such as Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
- Collaborate with intensivists and hospitalists available 24/7
- Float to other inpatient units as needed to support the broader care team
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience with this patient population
- Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher
- Valid driver's license for radius verification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Experience with open-heart recovery and advanced hemodynamic support
- Comfort managing vents, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and all RT equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced ICU environment
