Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert one-to-one care for complex open-heart and vascular surgery patients
- Monitor and manage advanced cardiac support devices including Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
- Titrate critical drips such as vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
- Interpret telemetry strips and respond swiftly to cardiac changes
- Collaborate with intensivists and hospitalists who are in-house 24/7
- Float to other inpatient units (excluding maternity and NICU) to support the broader hospital team
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience with this patient population
- Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry independently
- Willing to complete a pass/fail skills exam during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of open-heart recovery and advanced cardiac procedures
- Experience with Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO support
- Proficient in titrating multiple critical drips simultaneously
- Skilled in telemetry interpretation without monitor tech support
- Able to troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment
