Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert one-to-one care for complex open-heart, thoracic, and vascular patients
Monitor and titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Support patients on advanced therapies such as Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Collaborate with intensivists and hospitalists who are in-house 24/7
Float to other inpatient units (excluding maternity and NICU) to support hospital-wide needs
Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of CVICU experience with this patient population
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Willingness to float across inpatient units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and titration skills
Comfort managing advanced cardiac support devices
Clear communication and quick decision-making under pressure
Team-oriented mindset with a passion for complex cardiac cases
