Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to cardiac stepdown patients
• Titrate cardiac drips with precision and monitor patient responses
• Perform sheath removal and closely monitor insertion sites
• Deliver comprehensive med/surg nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with the cath lab recovery team to ensure smooth transitions
• Document patient progress accurately in the Paragon charting system

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• 2+ years of nursing experience in stepdown or med/surg
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Cardiac drip titration experience required
• Experience with sheath removal and site monitoring
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert knowledge of cardiac drip titration
• Skilled in sheath removal and site monitoring
• Strong med/surg nursing foundation
• Proficiency with Paragon charting system
• Ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions
• Team collaboration in a fast-paced stepdown unit
