Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health nursing care
- Perform timely assessments and monitor patients for safety and stability
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Use therapeutic communication to de-escalate crises and support recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Maintain clear, professional documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience or interest in behavioral health and patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong clinical judgment, crisis management skills, and therapeutic communication
- Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and mental health screening
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Collaborative teamwork and clear clinical communication
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
