Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-13-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, flexible shifts as needed (12.5-hour shifts available)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiography procedures as ordered by physicians
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after imaging exams
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment following strict radiation safety protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to produce accurate diagnostic images
- Document patient information and imaging details accurately and promptly
- Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and department needs
Qualifications
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- Active Oregon state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Previous experience in diagnostic radiology preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of human anatomy, positioning, and radiographic techniques
- Comfortable with PACS and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and compassionate patient interaction
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety, infection control, and radiation safety standards
