Physical Therapist Assistant - Long Term Care

Location: Hamlin, Texas

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours guaranteed)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $58.28 - $43.4 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and manual therapy to help patients regain function
Document patient progress and communicate outcomes to supervising Physical Therapist
Collaborate with the rehab team to create personalized treatment plans
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety
Maintain a positive, supportive environment that encourages patient independence

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant - we need someone who knows their stuff
Active Texas PTA License or Compact License - required before start
Experience in Long Term Care or skilled nursing setting preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, and modalities
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compassionate patient care approach with a focus on functional outcomes
