Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-01-2026

End Date: 08-31-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Treat a diverse caseload including general medical, post-surgical joint replacements, spinal procedures, orthopedic conditions, and stroke recovery
Deliver hands-on therapy in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Document treatment plans and progress to support quality care
Mentor and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
Strong clinical skills across medical, surgical, and orthopedic populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient physical therapy expertise
Experience with post-surgical joint replacements and spinal procedures
Comfort working with stroke recovery and general orthopedic patients
Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload of 12+ patients daily
Excellent communication and documentation skills
