Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs to ensure patient safety
Administer chemotherapy treatments and manage complex medication regimens
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses and oncology resource RNs
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
Maintain sterile technique during procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemo certification is a plus
Minimum one year of recent acute care telemetry or oncology experience preferred
Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
Comfortable with Phillips telemetry equipment and BiPAP/CPAP management
Excellent sterile field technique for catheter and line procedures
Ability to work collaboratively with PCTs and resource nurses
Flexible and adaptable when floating between similar units
