Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs to ensure patient safety and timely interventions
• Titrate critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin with precision and clinical judgment
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver seamless bedside handoffs and coordinated care plans
• Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed, showcasing adaptability and broad clinical skills
• Maintain strict sterile technique during procedures like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
• Neuro experience highly valued
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts
• Must demonstrate competency in sterile field techniques during orientation SIMs lab

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
• Experience with titrating cardiac and insulin drips
• Comfortable caring for trached patients, post-op neuro cases, and patients with complex comorbidities
• Proficient with Cerner EMR and WOW documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
