Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 05-26-2026
End Date: 08-25-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
- Help patients recover from surgeries like TKA, THA, spinal procedures, and manage general orthopedic and stroke recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans for deconditioned and medically complex patients
- Deliver compassionate care that makes a real difference in patients' rehabilitation journeys
- Mentor and guide patients through their recovery process with evidence-based interventions
Qualifications
- Current California PT license required
- BLS certification needed
- Acute Inpatient PT experience is essential
- Comfortable working with diverse patient populations including post-surgical and stroke recovery
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and treatment planning abilities
- Experience with general medical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple hospital departments
