Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Manage titratable drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Support diverse patient populations with cultural sensitivity and clear communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status
Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and be a flexible team player

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with arterial line management and monitoring
Confident titrating cardiac and vasoactive medications
Skilled in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Comfortable floating between PCU, MedSurg, and ICU as needed
Excellent communication and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
