Respiratory Therapist
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Start Date: 05-25-2026
End Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, team scheduling with weekend requirements every third day shift and every other night shift
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional respiratory care to patients from neonates to geriatrics across all inpatient floors
- Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry to support accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and fellow RTs to ensure seamless patient outcomes
- Adapt quickly to varying patient needs while maintaining strong time-management and communication skills
- Float throughout the hospital in an RT capacity, bringing flexibility and a willingness to learn every day
Qualifications
- Current RRT or CRT credential required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NRP and PALS preferred
- Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Drager, Servo I, and Carefusion ventilators
- Experienced with Vision, V60, V30, and Respironics S/T BiPAPs
- Comfortable managing Airvo2 high-flow systems
- Strong adaptability, teamwork, and communication abilities
- Excellent time-management and willingness to learn new protocols
