Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality physical therapy assessments and treatments to pediatric patients
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to help children improve mobility, strength, and coordination
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and strategies for continued progress
• Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Adapt treatment techniques to meet each child's unique developmental needs and comfort level
• Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current Washington State physical therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
• BLS/CPR certification for healthcare providers
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred, but new graduates with pediatric clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
• Ability to build rapport with children and families in a compassionate manner
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy interventions and developmental milestones
• Proficiency in patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
