Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments so every patient visit runs smoothly
• Assist the orthodontist chairside during adjustments, bonding, and banding procedures
• Take and develop dental radiographs while keeping patients comfortable and informed
• Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control standards
• Walk patients through aftercare instructions with a calm, friendly approach
• Keep supplies stocked and organized so the team never misses a beat

Qualifications

• Active Orthodontic Certification required
• Dental Assisting experience in an orthodontic or general dental setting
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiography/Dental Assistant credentials as required by Maryland
• A dependable, team-first attitude and a genuine care for patients
• Availability for the 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM shift

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic Assisting techniques and instrument handling
• Dental Assisting fundamentals and chairside support
• Orthodontic terminology, wires, brackets, and elastics
• Sterilization and infection control best practices
• Great communication skills with patients of all ages
• Detail-oriented charting and scheduling support
