Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and daily living assistance to residents
• Monitor and report changes in residents' condition to the nursing team
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe patient handling
• Help residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mealtime support
• Document care accurately and keep the care team informed
• Create a warm, dignified environment where residents feel at home

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
• Current BLS certification is a plus
• Prior long term care or skilled nursing experience is welcomed
• Original or updated COVID-19 vaccination, or a documented religious or medical exemption
• Ability to bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• Reliable, kind, and ready to jump in when residents need you

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
• Strong observation skills and clear communication with the care team
• Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine heart for elder care
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy night shifts
• Team player mindset with a strong sense of accountability
