Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care that helps residents feel safe, seen, and respected
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and changes in condition, then report them promptly
• Serve meals and support residents during dining to promote good nutrition and hydration
• Keep patient care areas clean, organized, and comfortable for everyone
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists, and family members to keep care coordinated
• Respond quickly and calmly to resident needs and requests throughout your shift

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
• Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Completed original or updated COVID-19 vaccination, or a documented religious or medical exemption from your employer
• State or federal issued photo identification to present at the facility
• Willingness to wear a facility photo badge at all times while on site
• A caring, dependable attitude and a genuine passion for helping others
• Prior skilled nursing or long-term care experience is a plus, but new CNAs with heart are welcome

• Vital signs monitoring and accurate documentation
• Safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Infection control and hygiene best practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
