Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care that helps residents feel safe, respected, and comfortable
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team right away
• Take and record vital signs accurately to support each resident's care plan
• Help residents with meals and make sure nutritional needs are met
• Keep resident areas clean, organized, and welcoming
• Bring a positive attitude and genuine kindness to every interaction

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of Maine
• Current BLS certification is a plus
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting is preferred
• Must bring a state or federally issued ID to the facility and wear a photo badge at all times
• Must have completed the original or updated COVID-19 vaccine series, or hold a documented religious and/or medical exemption through your employer
• A caring, dependable, and team-first mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of CNA scope of practice and patient care standards
• Comfortable taking vital signs and documenting care accurately
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and the nursing team
• Patience and empathy when supporting residents with daily needs
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and focused during busy shifts
• Team player who pitches in wherever help is needed
