Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care that helps residents feel comfortable and respected
• Assist residents with daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output to keep the care team informed
• Respond quickly and calmly to resident needs, call lights, and safety concerns
• Collaborate with nurses and fellow CNAs to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
• Keep resident rooms, equipment, and common areas clean, safe, and welcoming

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Maine
• Current BLS certification
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus
• Ability to bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination series or an approved documented exemption
• A caring attitude, dependable work ethic, and teamwork mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable taking vital signs and tracking resident observations
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Gentle patient handling and safe transfer techniques
• Sharp attention to detail and dependable documentation habits
• Calm, patient demeanor with a genuine heart for helping others
• Ability to stay organized during a busy night shift
