Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments so every patient visit starts safe and smooth
• Assist the orthodontist chairside during adjustments, bonding, and appliance fittings
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral scans with accuracy and a patient-first mindset
• Fit, adjust, and remove orthodontic appliances, wires, and retainers as directed
• Teach patients and families how to care for braces, aligners, and retainers with confidence
• Keep patient records, charts, and treatment notes organized and up to date
• Manage supplies and inventory so the clinic is always ready for the next smile
• Welcome patients warmly and help them feel at ease from check-in to check-out

Qualifications

• Orthodontic Certification is required
• Hands-on Dental Assistant experience, ideally in an orthodontic practice
• Comfort with chairside assisting, radiographs, and orthodontic instruments
• A caring bedside manner and clear communication with patients of all ages
• Strong teamwork skills and a reliable, detail-oriented work style
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered orthodontic office

• Orthodontic terminology, procedures, and appliance care
• Dental radiography and intraoral scanning basics
• Infection control and sterilization best practices
• Patient education for braces, aligners, and retainers
• Dental charting and practice management software
• Inventory management and clinical supply organization
• Chairside assisting and instrument passing
• Attention to detail and calm under pressure
