Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with treatment planning
• Ensure the treatment room is stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Must be a certified or registered Dental Assistant
• Valid X-ray (radiography) certification required
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Comfort with digital radiography and patient charting
