Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during braces and Invisalign procedures
- Prepare patients for dental treatment and ensure their comfort
- Take and process dental X-rays and impressions
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care plans
Qualifications
- Fully knowledgeable in orthodontics including braces and Invisalign
- Dental Assistant certification or state licensure as required in Virginia
- Previous experience in a dental or orthodontic office is a plus
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in orthodontic procedures and techniques
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control
- Ability to take high-quality dental X-rays
- Understanding of patient record management and dental software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
