Occupational Therapist - Long-Term Care
Location: Tulsa, OK

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Day), 5 days/week, 40 hrs guaranteed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat individuals with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses to improve daily living and work skills
- Develop personalized treatment plans using therapeutic activities tailored to each patient
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and provide hands-on training for independence
- Recommend and implement home, school, or work modifications to promote safety and function
- Provide patient and family education to support long-term gains and carryover at home
- Document progress clearly and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma state Occupational Therapy license required
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) — required at submission
- Strong clinical judgment and experience creating treatment plans for ADLs
- Ability to teach adaptive equipment use and train caregivers
- Clean, professional communication; references not required at time of submission
Education
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent degree required for Oklahoma licensure)
Knowledge & Skills
- Treatment planning and goal setting for long-term care patients
- Therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, and independence
- Adaptive equipment selection, training and education
- Home modification recommendations for safety and accessibility
- Patient and caregiver education strategies
- Assessment and intervention for activities of daily living (ADL)
