Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Flexible shifts including 16hr Day, Evening, Night, and Holidays; must be willing to work given shifts, no block schedules

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional care to high-acuity patients in spinal neuro trauma and surgical cases
Collaborate with nursing support techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries for seamless teamwork
Complete thorough nurse handoffs from ED and admitting units to ensure continuity of care
Manage patient ratios of 5:1 while handling complex cases like gunshots, quads, and paraplegics
Adapt to dynamic floor needs in a fast-paced surgery trauma environment

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in surgery trauma or high-acuity specialty
BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
Willingness to work assigned shifts with no requested time off

Education

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in high-acuity floor nursing for trauma and surgical patients
Strong proficiency in EPIC documentation and workflows
Advanced skills in managing spinal neuro, gunshot, and mobility-impaired cases
Effective handoff communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
