Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Start Date: 07-27-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Day shift (no call), 40 hours per week; occasional weekends and after-hours shifts may be required.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform general nuclear medicine exams, PET/CT procedures, and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in an acute care hospital setting
- Conduct quality control measures on imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals to ensure accurate, safe results
- Assist radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures, providing clear communication and compassionate care
- Verify written/electronic orders and related health information to ensure timely, appropriate imaging
- Document all exam information needed for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives that support hospital strategic goals and patient safety
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for radioactive materials, including proper documentation of receipt, decay, administration, and disposal
Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited nuclear medicine technology program (or equivalent)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Nuclear Medicine, or NMTCB certification
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Preferred: At least 1 year of post-graduate experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Willingness to complete required education and registry requirements per DNV and Bozeman Health policy
Education
- Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Sound judgment and professionalism in fast-paced, stressful environments
- Tact, discretion, sensitivity, and a strong commitment to confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Comfort with learning new computer applications and office equipment
- Knowledge of nuclear medicine quality control, PET/CT, therapeutic procedures, and BLS
