Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and babies during labor and delivery
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond quickly to changes
• Assist with deliveries, including natural births and C-sections
• Educate new parents on newborn care and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and advocate for your patients

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia or a compact state
• BLS certification required; NRP preferred
• Previous L&D experience is a plus, but passionate new grads are welcome
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of labor and delivery procedures and protocols
• Skilled in fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
