Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, intervene promptly when needed
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and emergency procedures
• Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, positive outcomes
• Document care accurately and advocate for your patients with confidence

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Virginia or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification strongly preferred
• Previous Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• A passion for supporting families during one of life's most special moments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to stay calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring and delivery procedures
• Team collaboration and adaptability in a dynamic environment
