Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status, intervening quickly when needed
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and comfort measures
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the healthcare team to ensure safe deliveries
• Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Advocate for patients' needs and preferences throughout the birthing process
• Respond confidently to emergency situations using critical thinking and clinical skills

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Previous Labor and Delivery experience preferred, but passionate new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm in high-pressure moments
• A genuine passion for supporting mothers and newborns

• Newborn assessment and resuscitation skills
• Intravenous therapy and medication administration
• Postpartum care and patient education
