Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on a med/surg unit
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision and safety
• Monitor patient status and document progress accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to coordinate optimal outcomes
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts or compact license
• BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
• Experience in pediatrics or med/surg nursing is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• A caring, adaptable approach to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development
• Medication administration and dosage calculations
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Patient and family education techniques
• Team collaboration and clear communication
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
