Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records
• Support and educate patients and their families during stressful times

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license or compact state license
• Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to think critically and act quickly in emergency situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of critical care equipment, ventilators, and monitoring devices
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with patients, families, and the care team
• Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation
