Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients before, during, and after surgery
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams in a fast-paced operating room environment
• Monitor vital signs, anesthesia, and patient responses throughout procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are prepared
• Advocate for the safety and comfort of young patients and their families
• Document patient care accurately and collaborate seamlessly with the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Perioperative nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics
• PALS certification is a plus
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
• Compassionate bedside manner with children and families
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
• Adaptability and collaboration in a dynamic surgical setting
