Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor complex patient conditions, assess changes, and respond quickly to emergencies
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments following safety protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Support and educate families during stressful times, keeping them informed and involved
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with clinical standards

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered RN license (Ohio or compact state)
• BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred
• Previous PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfort with ventilators, infusion pumps, and pediatric monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
