Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on a Med/Surg unit
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio (or compact license)
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Pediatric experience preferred, especially in Med/Surg
• PALS certification a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and care
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Family-centered communication
• Care coordination and discharge planning
• Problem-solving and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
