Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous med-surg nursing experience preferred, but new grads with clinical rotations are welcome to apply
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compassionate environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, care planning, and prioritization
• Comfortable using electronic health records and medication administration systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with patients, families, and colleagues
• Calm, adaptable approach to changing patient needs
