Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room
• Prepare the OR suite and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are ready
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating needs
• Monitor patients' vitals and comfort levels before, during, and after surgery
• Document patient care accurately and communicate clearly with families and team members
• Advocate for each child's safety and well-being every step of the way

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS (CPR) certification
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in perioperative or OR nursing (a plus)
• Comfort working with pediatric patients
• A passion for delivering excellent care with a smile

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced OR environment
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with surgical teams and families
• Compassionate, child-friendly approach to patient care
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate documentation
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
