Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to acute care patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report meaningful changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and positioning while following facility protocols
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly during shift handoffs

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (or ability to obtain) required
Prior experience or comfort working in acute care settings preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire
Ability to follow infection control and safety procedures consistently
Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
Compliance with facility immunization and background check requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and safe handling techniques
Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
Infection prevention and standard precautions
Effective communication with patients, families and clinical staff
Basic charting and documentation practices
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care environment
