Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to maintain comfort and safety
• Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for residents
• Uphold residents' dignity and privacy while encouraging independence

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in West Virginia
• Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or similar
• COVID-19 vaccination or a documented medical or religious exemption
• A valid federal or state issued photo ID for facility registration
• At least 1 year of CNA experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Empathy and patience when caring for others
• Attention to detail in documentation and patient observation
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary care team
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and assist with patient mobility
• Basic computer skills for charting and electronic health records
