Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Red Bluff, California

Start Date: 07-27-2026

End Date: 10-26-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts with rotating start times (e.g., 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM, 10:00 PM - 10:00 AM), every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency room setting
Perform thorough patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, midlevels, and support staff
Manage ventilators and monitor telemetry for critically ill patients
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Provide trauma care for a variety of conditions including stroke, abdominal pain, and orthopedic injuries

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (or compact license)
Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room experience
Level III trauma experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Proficiency in Cerner (First Net) EMR

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a high-stress environment
Excellent communication and teamwork
Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and ventilator management
Adaptability to handle a wide range of patient diagnoses from stroke to psychiatric emergencies
